Overview:

Change is ever-present and integral to the work of Ava Marie, meteorologist at WBAL-TV, Channel 11. She will kick off the conference by sharing her perspectives on change. Overviews of Maryland Nurses Association initiatives and those of the Nurse Support Program II (NSP II) will follow. Eight podium presentations will touch on various aspects of change as it relates to nursing education. Poster presentations will describe recent ongoing projects as well as provide opportunities for networking with colleagues.

Objectives:

At the end of this conference, participants will:

  1. summarize current and projected education initiatives from a statewide perspective
  2. explore current and upcoming trends in teaching and learning in nursing
  3. give examples of innovation and opportunities in nursing education
  4. examine evidence presented for applicability to their own role in nursing education.
