EBSCO Information Services
The Case Against Just "Googling It" for Medical Evidence
Medical information sourced via Internet search engines can be overwhelming in quantity and of varying quality, causing much time spent to identify useful evidence, if it’s found at all. Alternatively, pre-appraised decision support resources save this precious time since the information’s already been assessed for credibility, allowing clinicians to apply trustworthy information in caring for patients. Learn what research reveals about clinician answer -seeking behavior, use of the Internet to search for evidence-based information and the quality of information found, and why EBSCO pre-appraised decision support products, such as Nursing Reference Center Plus and Dynamic Health, should be used instead.

Surgical Safety Scanner, Inc.
Surgical Safety Scanner transforms the care of surgical patients by providing a standardized approach with building trays, inoperative instrument counting, minimizes radiological exams, monitors autoclaving of instruments, provides quality assurance reporting, and reduces surgery costs. The Surgical Safety Scanner Lunch and Learn is a hands-on-demonstration of this new enterprise innovation.
