- IPEC Seed Grant: Climate Change and Health Equity in Maryland: An Interprofessional Education Collaboration
- Description:
- Through this grant, our multidisciplinary Climate Change and Health Equity in Maryland collaboration aims – as a first step – to address this educational gap by developing and implementing a Climate and Health Equity course, which will empower students from professional tracks across UMB and UMCP to take greater responsibility for addressing societal problems arising from climate change through analysis and action. The course will be followed up with a culminating symposium focused on real-world, practical solutions for communities in the Baltimore metro area.

- IPEC Sustaining Grant: Climate Change, Health and Society Curriculum in Maryland: An Interprofessional Education Collaboration
- Description:
- We intend to use Sustaining Grant funds to:1. Support the October 2024 UMB/UMCP climate change symposium for our campus and community, emphasizing solutions to the problems resulting in Baltimore and State of Maryland.2. Create a fall speaker series to offer on-going education and information to the campus and surrounding community on climate change actions in Baltimore/Maryland.3. Further develop a Climate Change, Health and Society curriculum as part of the MEES graduate program, which will empower students from professional tracks across the USM to take greater responsibility for addressing societal problems arising from climate change through analysis and action.
