  • My research focuses on palliative care with emphasis on interprofessional collaboration, advance care planning, symptom assessment, and end-of-life care.

    Development of an Interprofessional Internship

    The goal of this project is to pilot test a model of interprofessional education in the clinical setting to promote team work and communication. Faculty and students from School of Medicine and School of Nursing will be recruited

    Description:
    The goal of this project is to test the interprofessional education including lectures, small group discussion, use of the standardized patient and clinical experiences on promoting advance care planning and team work. Participants are students from schools of nursing, medicine, social work and dentistry at the University of Maryland Baltimore
