Student Life

Our students come from many backgrounds, but they all share a common goal—to shape, lead, and succeed in one of the most exciting professions in the world.

Top-tier students, top-tier school.

We’re a community of dedicated students, faculty, and staff. We’re a learning experience located at one of the major centers of the medical research world—the Baltimore, Washington, D.C. region. And we’re a network of professionals who are redefining nursing in the 21st century.

Common Hour: Your time to engage with the UMSON community.

No classes are scheduled during these times so you can meet with student organizations or participate in School activities and special events:

  • Baltimore: Mondays, 1-2 p.m.
  • Universities at Shady Grove: Tuesdays, 1-2 p.m.

Whether your goal is surviving a tough class, polishing your résumé, or joining a student organization, the Student Success Center is here to help.
