The Horizon Report
Fifteen years ago the Horizon Project was established with the purpose of identifying current and future trends in using technology to enhance education and planning. Four focus areas are identified and experts in the areas convene to discuss trends projected for the next five years. The focus areas are higher education, primary and secondary education, museum and library. The experts in each panel identify six prominent trends, six challenges, and six projections for the use of technology. The NMC Horizon Report 2017 Higher Education Edition is a cooperative effort by NMC (New Media Consortium) and EDUCAUSE Learning Initiative (ELI).
