UMSON has hired two infection control specialists to support COVID-19 work at the Universities at Shady Grove (USG) and University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB). Between them, they will monitor COVID-19 testing, exposure tracking, and personal protective equipment (PPE) fit testing and distribution.

Oversees COVID-19 testing and exposure tracking for all students |
Assures all students and faculty have access to proper PPE |
Primary Duties:
- COVID-19 testing verification for all students
- COVID-19 exposure or positive test tracking and reporting
- Serving as primary liaison with UMB Student Health for COVID-19 exposure and testing for students and faculty
- Biweekly reporting on compliance with testing
- Ensuring SAFE on Campus screening compliance: ensuring all students and employees are registered, that students complete screening every day until the end of term (only students continuing in clinicals over the break complete SAFE during the break)

Primary Duties:
- PPE fit testing for students and faculty
- Maintaining inventory of masks, including biweekly reporting and projected needs to associate dean for administration and finance related to ordering
- Coordinating student PPE supply and resupply
