May 20, 2020: Resources for you as you navigate COVID-19

Dear Colleagues,

I hope that each of you is doing ok, staying safe and healthy, as we all learn to navigate COVID-19. UMSON’s leadership team is here to support you as you juggle multiple responsibilities while teleworking. I am pleased that we have implemented Wednesday as a UMSON meeting-free day, effective today, and appreciate you remaining available to participate virtually in meetings that include persons external to UMSON.

I wanted to highlight some of the UMB resources that are available to you.

  • On Thursday, May 21 at 2 pm, the topic to the weekly Virtual Face to Face with Dr. Bruce Jarrell is “Psychologist’s Tips for Staying Mentally Healthy During a Pandemic.”  Register here.
  • UMB has created a COVID-19 Coping Kit that you can access here
  • Members of the UMB community can also access free online fitness classes through Virtual URecFit and Wellness. To learn more visit this webpage
  • Information on the Employee Assistance Program can be found here.

Please take care and don’t hesitate to reach out with additional ideas that you have about how we can better support you during these challenging times.
