The purpose of this preconference is to provide a practical “State of the Art” presentation of modern health care IT project management. The target audience is broad and will span novices to experts. Presenters are practicing experts, clinicians, and executives. Highlights include:

  • Key components of successful health care IT projects (e.g., mitigating project risks)
  • Multidisciplinary project management (e.g., working with a diverse team)
  • Selecting the best project management method/tools for a project (e.g., waterfall vs. agile)
  • Health care IT project management from diverse perspectives (e.g., non-clinician, clinician, executive).
  • Real world project examples (e.g., health application specific and large multidisciplinary projects).

Learning Outcome:

100% of participants will identify at least one project management tool they will implement into their practice.
