Office of the Webmaster

The Office of the Webmaster has responsibility for the creation and oversight of the SON Home Page and its second- and third-level pages. It also has responsibility for School-wide sites, including the grant-generated, conference, special events, and other sites. The office develops and maintains administrative Web sites, including the all offices, the human resources, the registrar's office, the Web calendar, and all web versions of publications and press releases.

The office also publishes Web guidelines and standards for administrative and student Web sites. The office works with OEA, the ILT Customer Service Center, the IT department, and CITS to create new technologies to disseminate information to the School and the general community.

Web Services

The office offers a wide range of services to administrative offices, academic departments, and others. By using our services, you can ensure that you are in compliance with SON Web site policies, including ADA compliance. We can create an entirely new Web site, revise or redesign an existing site, or provide other services you might require. Among the services we offer are:

The Webmaster, by coordinating with the SON-IT Help Desk, creates accounts for administrative offices, programs, and departments to ensure that accounts are appropriately designed, developed, maintained, and marketed.

The office also tracks usage of numerous sites and reports statistics.

Bryan Hantman is the School Webmaster and has responsibility for management, content, and design of all School pages, and associated functions and technologies of the University of Maryland School of Nursing Web site (nursing.umaryland.edu).
