Oncology Advanced Practice Nursing

The oncology post-master’s certificate is designed for a nurse who already has a master’s degree in nursing and functions as a clinical nurse specialist, a nurse practitioner, an educator, or a manager/administrator.  The three cancer-related courses provided state-of-the-science content on cancer prevention and detection, cancer genetics and pathophysiology, and cancer management, while the special problems course provides an individualized opportunity for the post-master’s student to apply cancer content in a specific area relevant to his or her interests.  Upon successful completion of this post-master’s program, the student receives a certificate.
