Office of International Activities
The Office of International Activities is responsible for providing vision and leadership in advancing the School’s Strategic Plan Global Health Initiative and promoting faculty and student involvement in activities that focus on global health problems. The School of Nursing has a long history of involvement in international activities and has established long standing, ongoing, productive partnerships with top tier institutions world-wide to collaborate in education and research that addresses global health problems and issues. Among the School’s long term partners are:
- International Virtual Nursing School (IVINURS) Founding Partners , Australia, Denmark, England, Ireland, Scotland
- Seoul National University , College of Nursing, South Korea
- UMB Institute of Human Virology, Nigeria
The International Visiting Scholars Program affords nursing and health care leaders individualized, customized short and long term educational and research experiences at the School.

Participants in the International Visiting Scholars program have included W.K. Kellogg and World Health Organization Fellows, Fulbright Professors and nursing faculty and leaders seeking innovative solutions to global health problems through education and research. The School also serves as host for participants in:
- Churchill Fellows Program
- International Visitors Leadership Program administered by World Trade Center Institute on behalf of US Department of State
- Fogarty AIDs International Training Research Program with UMB Institute of Human Virology
