Family Nurse Practitioner

The University of Maryland School of Nursing, Department of Family and Community Health is currently recruiting for a doctorally prepared Family Nurse Practitioner with a program of research. 

The University of Maryland School of Nursing enrolls approximately 1,400 students in its baccalaureate, master’s and doctoral programs and is ranked among the top ten schools of nursing in the nation.   It is part of the University of Maryland academic health center that also includes the schools of medicine, dentistry, social work, pharmacy and law and is becoming as one of the fastest growing biomedical research centers in the country. Primary Responsibilities

The candidate will collaborate with family nurse practitioner faculty in the development, teaching, organization and evaluation of the courses and precepted experiences of family nurse practitioner students; advise students; conduct a program of research and participate in the governance of the department.

Qualifications

All applicants must be certified as an Family Nurse Practitioner and have an earned doctorate in nursing or a related field, a master’s degree in nursing and a current license or eligibility to practice nursing in Maryland. Prior academic experience is preferred.
