  • Co-Investigator, Routine Versus Targeted HIV Screening: Does Testing Method Influence CD4 Counts and Linkage to Care
    DNP Capstone Research
    Goal: Secondary Data Analysis examining differences in CD4 count at diagnosis between those tested routinely (in emergency departments) and those tested on a targeted basis (via state funded testing/counseling services)
  • Co- Investigator, Physician Barriers to HIV Testing Survey
    Conducted as a part of the core activities of the University of Maryland Local Performance site of the Pennsylvania Mid-Atlantic AIDS Education and Training Center (AETC). The AETC is a Network of Training Centers funded by Health Resources and Services Administration - HIV/AIDS Bureau - Ryan White CARE Act.
    Goal: To assess the progress of healthcare providers in providing routine HIV screening made since the 2006 CDC routine testing recommendations were released before and after the implementation of the “AIDS Education and Training Center (AETC) Routine Testing Education Program”
