Test Construction Workshop*

Facilitators: Dr. Louise S. Jenkins and Dr. Laura Petri

Objectives: During the workshop, participants will:

  1. Discuss measurement concepts
  2. Write measurable objectives
  3. Develop a test blueprint
  4. Write selected types of test items
  5. Create a plan for test construction and administration
  6. Interpret post-administration test and item analysis results
  7. Discuss selected aspects of item-writing for NCLEX

Continuing Nursing Education: 6 nursing contact hours are available at a cost of $30 per participant.

Successful Completion for Nurses:
Six contact hours are awarded to participants upon their completion of this educational activity. Completion of this Continuing Nursing Educational (CNE) activity is demonstrated by attending the entire workshop and completion of the CNE evaluation and verification of attendance form provided in the conference packet. All requests must be submitted within 90 days following this program. Eligible participants will receive a CNE certificate via email from the University of Maryland School of Nursing within 2 – 4 weeks after submitting their request.

The University of Maryland School of Nursing is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
