In the Debra L. Spunt Clinical Simulation Labs (CSLs), students and practitioners gain vital experience by participating in realistic clinical case scenarios with faculty guidance. The practice of simulation-based health care education is advanced through a program of research with the ultimate goal of making health care safer for patients.
The 24 labs are designed to replicate realistic practice environments, including:
The Universities at Shady Grove operate six interdisciplinary CSLs. Each has a multi-focus lab, replicating multiple clinical settings in one lab, as well as a health assessment lab.
8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday through Friday
Scheduled classes meet in the CSLs, and labs provide flexible time slots five days a week for student practice and tutoring.
